1. Overview
This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be issued for DreamCots Data Science and Data Analytics program. All refund requests are subject to the guidelines specified below and must be submitted through our official channels.
2. Refund Eligibility
2.1 Registration Fee Refund
The registration fee of ₹2,000 is refundable only if:
- The admission process is not completed due to DreamCots' inability to proceed
- The applicant withdraws before the skill assessment (Step 03) is conducted
- DreamCots is unable to offer a seat in the program
If an applicant withdraws after the skill assessment or is offered admission but declines, the registration fee is non-refundable.
2.2 Full Tuition Fee Refund (100%)
A full refund of the tuition fee (Data Science: ₹65,000 or Data Analytics: ₹40,000) is available if:
- The refund request is submitted within 7 days of program start date
- No more than 2 live sessions have been attended
- No course materials have been downloaded or accessed from the learning platform
- The request is made before accessing DreamCots Cloud Lab resources
2.3 Partial Refund (50%)
A partial refund of 50% of the tuition fee (Data Science: ₹32,500 or Data Analytics: ₹20,000) is available if:
- The refund request is submitted within 14 days of program start date
- No more than 5 live sessions have been attended
- Less than 25% of course content has been accessed
2.3 No Refund
No refund will be issued if:
- The refund request is submitted after 14 days from program start date
- More than 5 live sessions have been attended
- More than 25% of course content has been accessed
- The student has received certification or completed the program
- Violation of Terms and Conditions has occurred
3. Placement Fee Refund Policy
For students enrolled under the placement-linked fee structure:
- No placement fee is charged if the student secures a position with salary less than 3.5 LPA
- Placement fees are calculated and charged only after the student accepts a job offer
- If a student withdraws from placement services before receiving an offer, no placement fee applies
- Placement fees are non-refundable once charged, as they reflect services already rendered
4. Refund Process
4.1 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, students must:
- Submit a written refund request via email to refunds@dreamcots.in
- Include the following information:
- Full name and enrollment ID
- Program name and cohort start date
- Reason for refund request
- Bank account details for refund processing
- Wait for acknowledgment email (within 2 business days)
4.2 Refund Review
DreamCots will review refund requests within 5-7 business days and may:
- Request additional information or documentation
- Verify attendance and course access records
- Schedule a call to understand the reason for withdrawal
4.3 Refund Processing
Once approved, refunds will be processed:
- Within 10-15 business days from approval date
- To the original payment method when possible
- Via bank transfer if original payment method is unavailable
- After deducting any applicable processing fees or charges
5. Special Circumstances
5.1 Medical Emergencies
Students facing medical emergencies may be eligible for:
- Extended refund window (up to 30 days) with medical documentation
- Deferred enrollment to a future cohort without additional charges
- Partial refund consideration on a case-by-case basis
5.2 Technical Issues
If technical issues prevent access to course materials or live sessions:
- DreamCots will work to resolve issues within 48 hours
- If resolution is not possible, refund eligibility may be extended
- Alternative access methods will be provided when feasible
5.3 Program Cancellation
If DreamCots cancels a program or cohort:
- Full refund will be issued to all enrolled students
- Students may opt to transfer to another cohort without additional charges
- Refunds will be processed within 15 business days
6. EMI and Financing
For students who have opted for EMI or financing:
- Refund processing will coordinate with the financing partner
- Outstanding EMI obligations must be cleared before refund issuance
- Any interest or processing fees charged by the financing partner are non-refundable
- Refund amount will be calculated after deducting all applicable charges
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable:
- Application or processing fees (if any)
- Placement fees once charged
- Interest or charges from financing partners
- Any third-party service fees (certification exams, cloud credits, etc.)
8. Transfer Policy
Instead of a refund, students may opt to:
- Transfer to another cohort: Available within 30 days of original start date, subject to seat availability
- Defer enrollment: Postpone to a future cohort (maximum 6 months) with written approval
- Gift enrollment: Transfer enrollment to another eligible candidate (one-time transfer allowed)
Transfer requests must be submitted at least 7 days before the new cohort start date.
9. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a refund decision:
- Submit a detailed appeal to appeals@dreamcots.in within 7 days of the decision
- Include all relevant documentation and evidence
- DreamCots will review the appeal within 10 business days
- Final decisions will be communicated in writing
